What materials are used?
I work mainly with acrylic paints and mediums. A number of pieces are painted on acrylic glass/sheet, a Perspex glass substitute which is transparent like traditional glass, however is lighter and much much stronger. I paint on the reverse surface building up numerous layers, often over 25, using a special technique I developed myself. The final pieces, viewed from the unpainted surface, have a wonderful sense of depth and the layers create beautiful colour combinations which cause some areas to change colour and appearance when the viewer changes position. These acrylic glass pieces need to framed.
My favourite piece isn't in the shop. Can I buy it?
Maybe. It's possible that the work you like has already been sold or I just haven't got around to listing it yet. Email me and I'll let you know.
Can I ask you to make a duplicate piece?
Not really. Each work is unique and it's impossible for me to create an exact copy, however I can create another piece which has a similar feel.
Am I able to commission you to make a piece for me?
Yes. Commissions are welcome. Contact me to discuss what you would like and I can let you know how much it would cost and how long it would take me to create.
How will my work arrive?
All work will arrive carefully packaged, and ready to hang (unless otherwise stated in the description). Some pieces have to be in a frame and it that is the case the work will arrive framed and will be included in the price.
